McRay Magleby served as creative director of BYU Publications & Graphics from 1969 to 1996. He is also a distinguished professor emeritus of graphic design at the University of Utah. In 1986 he was named “Designer of the Decade” by the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). That same year his “Wave of Peace” poster was voted the “most memorable poster in the world” by design professionals from 40 countries. For the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City, he provided posters and logos and served as an images consultant. He has also designed several United States postage stamps.
